    Christopher Peet
    ( Instructor)

    Born in 1957, Christopher Peet was raised and received his early education in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, Canada. He represented his province at the prestigious Lester B. Pearson International College of the Pacific in Victoria, British Columbia, where he earned an International Baccalaureate. He then studied at the Ontario College of Art in Toronto, Ontario, graduating in 1980 with an honours diploma.

    In 2003 he was the only Canadian to exhibit in the "Habitat for Humanity" exhibit at the "Cahoon Museum of American Art" in Massachusetts. His watercolours are exhibited in galleries across Canada and in the United States. He has become an architectural preservationist, concentrating on the detail of buildings and how this detail reflects the area in which the structure is found.

    One of Peet's works was presented to Queen Elizabeth II in June 1997 while on a visit to Newfoundland as part of the province's 500th Anniversary celebrations. His work is also part of the Canadiana Fund's permanent State Art Collection for the seven Official Residences in Canada and hangs at the Official Residence of the Speaker of the House of Commons in Ottawa, Ontario.

    Ada Zhang
    (Training Manager)


    After attending Beijing Inst. of Fashion Tech. in 1997, Ada worked as an artist in a video game company. It's her passion to be an art educator that leads Ada to co-found LOLART School In 2002. Since then, Ada has been teaching art adaptively to a wide range of students, from JK kids to adult. With enriched teaching experience, Ada currently takes the responsibility of imparting LOLART methodology to instructors to meet differentiated needs of students.

    Jorge Libaque
    (Senior Instructor & Assistant Manager)


    Jorge earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 2005, majoring in Art History and Visual Arts where he experimented with a variety of media, although his focus is on drawing and animation. He joined the LOLART team in May 2005 where his experiences influenced his decision to obtain a teaching degree from York University's Faculty of Education in 2008.

    Jorge's knowledge of differentiated education is an ongoing development that he undertakes as a personal learning process. His modifications in instruction aim to meet the needs of all his students in order to inspire them and to expand on their innate creative abilities. He always makes certain that students feel welcome in his classroom so that they may experience the full potential of the learning environment.

    As one of the Senior Instructors at LOLART, Jorge has obtained a thorough understanding of the goals and expectations required from all instructors, which will help our students explore their artistic capabilities. As the current manager of the Richmond Hill location, he has been working with a team of instructors to maintain a high quality that will continue to provide our parents with the best possible service.

    Katherine Martin
    (
    Senior Instructor & Assistant Manager)


    Katherine Martin has had a life long interest in the arts that lead to her graduating with a degree from OCAD in 2006 where she mainly focused in drawing and painting. Katherine enjoys being versatile in several different styles and incorporating multi media, though she primarily works in acrylics and oil. Her work usually falls between realism and surrealism with a strong interest in colour theory. Her passion for art and education lead to her decision to teach, a calling which allows her to continue her own artistic progression. She believes in passing on the tools to help develop a student's own unique creative style and vision. Katherine lives and works in her
    Toronto Studio.

    Jenny Yin Yi
    ( Instructor & Assistant Manager)

    Jenny graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Honours. With a passion for teaching she started working as an instructor at LOLART in Jan. 2008. Her desire to expand her knowledge about the education system has led her to the Faculty of Education program at York University, where she finished her B.Ed. and received Ontario Teacher Certificate.

    While she has solid foundation on sketching, water color and acrylics, her hobbies are drawing Manga and Japanese animation. She is passionate about fine arts; during her four years of study she has taken courses in art studio,art history and sculpture. In the classroom, her bright personality strives to bring out her students' creativity while inspire and encourage them to reach their full potential. She is currently teaching at LOLART Finch/Midland and Richmond Hill Locations .

    Sandra Rodrigues
    ( Instructor)

    In 2005 Sandra Rodrigues graduated with a bachelor's degree in the Fine Arts (BFA) from York University. While attending school she developed a great appreciation for the language of visual communication. Joining LOLART in 2009, Sandra has been making contributions towards nourishing students with both techniques of drawing and painting and development
    of creativity. Teaching with LOLART has encouraged Sandra to pursue an Education in Teaching. She is currently working towards applying to Trent University's Teachers College program. Her goal is to continue to inspire a love for the arts, and encourage students to communicate effectively through the language of art.

    Teri McDonald
    ( Instructor)


    Teri McDonald cultivated a passion for the arts at very young age largely due her grandmother's influence. She was later accepted to both Sheridan College for
    Illustration and the Ontario College of Art for fine art. In her last year at OCAD, Teri was accepted to study abroad in Florence, Italy for 8 months on an independent study year. During the year she acquired a working knowledge of Italian. Having won scholarships in drawing and painting, Teri received her diploma in fine arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1987.

    While currently she is doing commission work and working towards having art shows, Teri McDonald also enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge and
    passion of art with both children and adults.

    Elizabeth Kim
    (Instructor)


    Elizabeth Kim has been practicing art from a young age. After extensive studying in the practice of fine arts in Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, she later attended the University of Toronto/Centennial College receiving a HBA in New Media and Art history. Her skills include a proficient knowledge in illustration, graphic arts, drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media, although her passions lie in drawing and mixed media art.

    After her post-secondary education, Elizabeth freelanced designing graphics before submitting to her strong interest in children education. At LOLART, she enjoys her way of providing a comfortable and wholesome environment in classroom, while enhancing her understanding to apply LOLART teaching philosophy.

    Fancia He
    (Instructor)


    ...The wonders of expressing in drawings prompted Fancia He to pursue an education at OCAD University and she graduated with a BFA in Drawing and Painting and a minor in Art History. Through exploring the diversities at OCADU, Fancia's work has been focused on figurative art in these fields: drawing, painting, life sculpture and animation. Her body of work shows applications of Chinese philosophies, traditional techniques from European art and contemporary art theories.

    Teaching at LOLART gives Fancia the opportunity to gain new perspectives on learning. She encourages her students to be brave with their lines, colors and ideas. Every class is aimed to be fun while celebrating the student's individuality, creativity, confidence and the one thing that brought all of us together, the love for art!
